Description of possible options.
As there are no hotels nor motels in Oka, we present you with four lodging alternatives. For the more « zen » among you, we propose a retreat to the heart of the Oka rectory. Situated right in the middle of the missionary fort, the rectory offers a magnificent view of the lake of Two Mountains. By car, it is only a few minutes from the Oka abbey, and it will also be possible to rent conference rooms within the rectory.
To accommodate our late-risers, we offer rooms in the heart of the Oka abbey, where you can sleep like a monk! Thus, you will be able to diligently attend the first presentations of the morning in the comfort of your favorite pyjamas! The AAQ will soon be putting up a system to reserve rooms within the abbey and the rectory. (It will be mandatory to reserve in advance. There are a limited number of rooms.)
If you would prefer to be close to nature, enjoy a magnificent beach, and most importantly, be close to the gathering on the beach, we present a number of lodging possibilities in Oka national park. The park is only a few minutes’ drive from the abbey. Whether at the Gîte sous les pins (cottage below the pines), in an RV, in a Huttopia tent, or a tent trailer (supplementary heating included in the last two options), you will find something to enjoy. The toughest among you can also rent a campsite.
The rentals will be placed directly through Anne Archambault of Sépaq (and member of SHO); please see the formula below. In addition, we have posted the telephone numbers of several bed and breakfasts in the region.
